I’m currently scouting for ideas to do up my daughter’s nursery, and plan to work with two elements: creativity that enables learning, and minimalism. Besides browsing through wall art and furniture, I was on the lookout for clever furnishing.
I knew I would love Tiny Toast as soon as I saw their logo, and I wasn’t wrong! This San Francisco based kids home furnishings brand steps away from the blues and pinks (yay!), and instead embraces a variegated colour palette to fashion its products.
The delightful colours, reflects the bubbling personality of Tiny Toast’s founder designer Li Qiu, who I met during her trip to India, two years ago. Li now lives in San Francisco, with her husband Ibrahim and pet Marcel.
I found their poufs could handle all the jumping, tossing, rolling, and other wild games little tots come up with. The decorative pillows are pretty awesome too. Dotted with fun prints like ice-cream cones and hearts, they’re sure to add plenty of pop to any nursery.
Everything Li has made so far is lovely. Perhaps my only whine is that I wish there was more variety. But for a year-old company, she’s doing pretty good.
I would love to see a bedding range designed by them! What is your wish list for Tiny Toast?
